i feel like i've been in some sort of scrapping restraints these past few weeks and finally yesterday, i was able to scrap to my heart's content. and it was the first time in a few weeks that i felt genuinely happy. oh how i wish for more 4-day weekends. or just that this one won't end. hubby and i are staying home for the holy week and yesterday, we did some general cleaning. i purged some of my scrapbook stuff to give to my sister who also scraps and dusted the boxes and knick-knacks in my scrapbook area. somehow, having organized my stuff makes me more inspired to work on an lo.
anyway, i'd like to share a layout i did for adthis april 6 using the ad below as inspiration. it had a vintage-y vibe for me. for my lo, i flipped the ad vertically then horizontally for the placement of the elements. i wanted to to play with the orange and brown hues set against a white backdrop. last time i promised to deviate from my usual pink-green-blue combination so the colors in this ad was a welcome change. finally, the technique twist was to use 5 embellishments from 5 different manufactures: 1.)bingo card from jenni bowlin 2.)flowers from prima 3.) gonchos from aas 4.) transparency from mme and 5.) letter stickers from october afternoon. it was difficult limiting myself to 5 so i had to cut out from my pp's for the owl and the heart. i love this challenge and i love how the lo turned out. will probably start playing with other colors soon. that's about it for me. will try to upload another one tomorrow.
